Practicing law allows me to indulge my life-long love of puzzles and desire to understand how things work. For me, there is nothing better than tackling a thorny legal issue to arrive at a solution for my clients.
Stacia’s practice focuses on commercial, business, and intellectual property litigation in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate court levels. She also counsels clients on trademark and copyright protection, licensing, and online disputes covering a myriad of issues.
Before joining Focal, Stacia practiced for more than 12 years at a boutique IP firm in downtown Seattle, managing civil litigation in commercial and intellectual property disputes in state and federal courts in California, Tennessee, and Washington, as well as publishing the firm’s blog. Stacia clerked for the Honorable Karen G. Seinfeld, Retired, at the Washington Court of Appeals, Division II in Tacoma following law school.
In her pre-law life, Stacia was a reporter for a group of newspapers in Northern California covering the communities of Weed, Dunsmuir, and Mt. Shasta. Stacia retains a keen interest in First Amendment, media, public records and open meetings, and free speech issues; issues that originally led her to the practice of law after graduating from college with a degree in journalism.
Working at Focal has given Stacia the invaluable opportunity to collaborate with an immensely talented group of people who are focused on meeting the needs of their clients in a cost-effective and creative way.
