Sean counsels clients in the areas of intellectual property, Internet issues and commercial transactions. His practice includes trademark and copyright registration, enforcement and licensing; drafting of website terms of service agreements and privacy policies; Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) compliance; online advertising, promotions, contests and sweepstakes; and negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements and licenses. Sean also represents clients in intellectual property, domain name and commercial disputes in state and federal courts as well as proceedings before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Sean has served as a volunteer attorney for the Housing Justice Project, a King County Bar Association program that provides free legal assistance to low-income tenants facing eviction. Sean previously served as a volunteer and Board member for Washington Lawyers for the Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to making low cost legal resources available to artists and arts organizations.
