About Karly
Karly brings more than 20 years of legal experience to Focal’s corporate team, supporting startups and mid-size companies through their day-to-day corporate needs and complex M&A transactions.
She began her career in high-stakes environments, assisting distressed debtors with bankruptcy, receivership, and foreclosure prevention, including her work with the Foreclosure Prevention Unit at the Northwest Justice Project. She went on to spend nearly a decade in the creditor-rights and insolvency practice at Lane Powell PC before moving to Ballard Spahr LLP, where she found her footing in the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (ECVC) space and the work she enjoys most. Today she draws on that full range of experience to help founders and growing companies navigate the legal details of building a business.
