About Malena
(Pronouns: She/Her/Hers)
Malena comes to Focal after 7 years of experience in the legal field. She started her career as a receptionist before eventually being promoted to an administrative assistant and eventually a legal assistant. After taking 2 years away from the legal field to work as an office manager and executive assistant in the private consulting world, she is excited to be back in a law office. Having worked in 3 different areas of law, she finds that a cheerful disposition and a love of puzzles makes every day a good day when she has a task to complete.
Currently working on a BA in International Politics with a focus on Social Justice, Malena enjoys Focal’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, and the way every employee is valued both as a team member and as a human being.
Malena is a member of the United Way Emerging Leaders 365 board and spends much of her time engaging with local non-profits for fundraising and volunteer activities. She is a big fan of the Scottish tradition of “coorie”, which emphasizes connection with nature, the importance of community, and the enjoyment of all things cozy.
